Design Concept
The Horse of Fire: Blaze — embodying unity, fervor, and the flame that never fades.
Rather than depicting a tranquil plain, this artwork reveals the expanse of the earth in all its depth and complexity—mountains, chasms, cliffs, and boundless terrain shaped by motion. Within this landscape, eight steeds surge forward together. Each carries its own character and purpose: some lead the charge and carve the path ahead; others form the core, driving the momentum with steady strength; still others guard from behind, watching over the whole. Each horse fulfills its role, yet they move as one, united in direction and spirit.
Their collective power burns like flame—intense, unstoppable, and alive. Their gallop is as swift as fire through wind, no force able to contain it. The eight horses run side by side, becoming one another’s wings, their unity stronger than the might of a thousand. What they embody is not merely speed or strength, but a living spirit—fervent, eternal faith. Composed of eight steeds and thirty-two legs, this sculpture represents not only artistic vision but also a triumph of craftsmanship. Every leg must be cast and joined with absolute precision to sustain the whole, testing the outer limits of pata de verre and liuli’s structural endurance. The piece stands as a testament to technical mastery—balancing the physical challenge of large-scale form, the time-sensitive control of multiple surface treatments, the high-risk brilliance of polishing, and the material limits of liuli itself—an achievement where art and craft unite to transcend the impossible.
Wind, fire, earth, and air transform into four steeds— Excelsior, Blaze, Faith, and Ascension—each embodying a facet of life’s boundless vitality. They are not mere horses, but living symbols of creation, perseverance, and the unending pursuit of greatness. Inspired by the elemental forces of nature, each sculpture reflects a unique state of being: the foresight of excellence, the unity of passion, the steadfastness of faith, and the transcendence of spirit. Through LIULI’s refined pate de verre technique, light flows within each form, revealing energy in motion and illuminating the enduring spirit of creation, leadership, and ascent. Continuing the sculptural tradition of LIULI Crystal Art, each work embodies a vision that is both profoundly realistic and spiritually transcendent, capturing not only form with precision but surpassing realism through emotion and light. It is this harmony between technical mastery and artistic elevation that transforms every sculpture into more than an object of beauty—it becomes a vessel of spirit, carrying forward LIULI’s devotion to truth, imagination, and the artistry of the human soul.
有的領軍衝鋒,帶頭開路;
有的作為中堅力量,穩步推進;
