Design Concept
A pair of goldfish presented in sculpture in the round highlights the interaction between the two fishes. In Chinese the words comprising “goldfish,” jingyu, are homonyms with the words for “gold” and “jade.” The fish has traditionally always been seen as symbolic of prosperity and good fortune. Water begets wealth and the imagery of goldfish in water is the manifestation of the saying 金玉滿堂 which literally translates to: gold and jade fill the hall. Swaying elegantly in the water, the fish fins form the shape of a treasure bowl, alluding to goodness and fulfillment.
As goldfish convey the blessings of Chinese culture, this design makes an ideal gift to celebrate housewarmings, birthdays, promotions and other life events.
两条金鱼以立体圆雕的雕塑手法、塑造对对相望，翩然互动的姿态。上方金鱼，以手工贴金箔工艺，与金鱼谐音“金玉”呼应，水生财，金鱼在塘，寓意“金玉满堂”。在悠扬畅游间，鱼尾华丽摇曳，勾勒出聚宝盆的形状，谱世间美好圆满。
“金玉满堂”传达了中国传统吉祥文化的美好祝福。适用于乔迁赠礼、寿辰贺礼、升迁赠礼等多种场合。
