Design Concept
The cyanistes caeruleus is an azure mountain bird that favors song. It weaves gently through the air gathering momentum and awaiting for the perfect moment to rise. The lotus seed pod symbolizes an unsullied and determined heart, representing the great heights one can reach with pure aspirations. As a whole, the design captures the azure bird between stillness and motion. Setting its sights far, it flies in pursuit of light. Liuli light imbues this sculpture bringing it to life. Captured in the moment before flight, the bird’s gaze and flexed feet exhibit powerful tension.
