Design Concept
While the bodhisattva Ksitigarbha is typically depicted on a lotus symbolizing his rebirth, LIULI artists have sculpted the saint here sitting atop an abstracted piece of the Earth. Ksitigarbha has been classically seen as the bringer of hope and light in the darkness. Combined with natural elements here, LIULI artists send a message about wishes for Mother Earth. The partially gold-plated artwork exudes a radiance that strikes a resemblance to the stories of the patron saint in traditional Asian art, shining a light on the spirit of the piece as well as classicism.
虽然菩萨地藏菩萨传统上常被描绘为坐于象征重生的莲花之上，但 LIULI 艺术家在此将其塑造成端坐于一块抽象化地球之上的形象。地藏菩萨历来被视为在黑暗中带来希望与光明的存在。结合作品中的自然元素，艺术家借此传达了对地球母亲的祝福与关怀。
