Design Concept
This work presents a surreal, fantastical realm. The upper section is a single cloud. Not a sky filled with fluff, but the one that catches your eye just as you pause and look up, a puff with the iridescence of a rainbow. Beneath it, flora grow not in soil, but bloom in the cloud’s shadow. Where there are clouds, there are flowers.
Light filters through the mist, falling into the heart of the bud. Clouds and blossoms form one layer of “Mutual Correspondence”. At the center rises a rocky landscape. A mythical bead, the mountain god’s treasure, links the sky and land. Light beams through the mist and illuminates the mountain range. The undulating shining ridgelines create another layer of “Mutual Correspondence”. At the base rests a deep blue lake, reflecting the summit above. The mountains dwell within the lake as the lake lies before the peaks. The mountains do not lower themselves to look at the water, nor does the water look up to the ridges. Between them there is no divide of high and low, only the time it takes for a ray of light to travel from the crest to the depths of the pool. This is the next layer of “Mutual Correspondence”.
The entire work is layered with interconnected meanings. Clouds above, flowers below; mountains in the middle, open-worked to allow light to pass through; lastly, water at the base, mirroring the rocky range. Each layer is independent while complementing the next. Together, they establish a quiet dialogue between heaven and earth, where tranquility enables one to go the distance.
Three liuli beads correspond to the cloud, the mountain, and the water. Scattered, they are a sky full of stars; assembled, they become a single ray of light.
這是一个反现实的奇幻之境。
上半部分是一朵云。不是滿天的云，是恰好举目驻足的那一朵，像虹彩一样的云。
云的下方，花不是长在土里，是开在云影中。云在，花就在。光从云层里照下來，落在花的心里，云与花，是一层「倆倆相对」。
中间是山的群像。一颗神奇的珠子，是山神的宝藏，銜接天地。光透过云，照耀在山脈上，连绵起伏的金边，是又一层「倆倆相对」。
底部是湖藍的水，倒映着山。山在湖里，湖在山前。山不低头看水，水也不仰视山。它们之间，不是高与低的落差，不过是一道光从山尖走到湖底所需的时间，這是再一层「倆倆相对」。
整件作品，寓意层层嵌套。云在上，花在下；山在中，镂空透光；水在底，倒映群山。每一层都独立，每一层也都映照另一层。它们合在一起，就是天地间寧靜致远的一组对话。
三颗琉璃珠，分別对应着云，山，水，散是滿天星，聚是一道光。
